Woodinville Montessori

Good Evening!  Hope you all enjoyed this glorious weather we had the past couple of days!  Take a look at a quilt that was created for the Oak Class at Woodinville Montessori.  My youngest daughter, Maia, is in this class.  The children traced their hands which will be turned into doves with beaks and eyes.  They also wrote their names on the "doves".  Stephanie, one of the Mom's at the school, designed and pieced the quilt and I had the wonderful joy of "kwilting" it.  I used doves in the 2 red borders, hearts surfing in the outer black borders and a design allover in the middle called Rapunzel.  I thought it looked like a frothy ocean.  Cotton batting in between.  Great work kids and Stephanie!  Hope  you like the way it turned out!  Take care, Richla
