Finished!

Hi Everyone!  Hope you all had a great day!  We leave for Disneyland tomorrow for 5 days and I can't wait!  I still have to do some more packing in the morning, but at least most of the chores are done.  I finally finished Eileen's adorable applique quilt this evening.  There are alot of fun things for Eileen to discover when she picks up her quilt.  The main theme is hearts.  I put a feather swag border all around the quilt with feathers, peacock feathers, stipple, squiggly lines and lots of hearts allover the quilt.  The hearts all around the outer border are overflowing with love and swirls.  I used two layers of warm and natural.  The two layers of batting really help the applique to puff where it needs to puff and the weight of two layers will make it really nice to hang on the wall without the edges curling up. I wish you all could feel it.  I used neutral thread and a sage green thread throughout the quilt.  Gorgeous Eileen!  Now you get the fun part of embellishing with the yo-yo's and buttons.  Hope you like the way it turned out!!!  Take care, Richla
