Zebras and Cranes

Good Evening everyone!  Hope you all had a great day!  Here are a couple more quilts that I finished "kwilting".  The first one is by Debra.  It is a going to be a gift for her son's upcoming wedding.  She noticed a few days ago that they registered for a Zebra duvet cover, so this quilt will go perfect with it!  Debra found these cranes for  me to put in the quilt because the crane is a symbol of longevity and prosperity in Japanese culture.  For the bride and her family, it is a long-standing custom to fold 1001 gold origami cranes to bring good luck, fortune, longevity, fidelity and peace to the marriage.  We quilted these cranes in the long green strips and zebra print as texture in the other strips.  See if you can find them!

The second one I worked on are two little table toppers that Kathy made.  She just wanted stipple allover with a neutral thread and cotton batting.  And finally, the last picture is an Easy Peasy Amish quilt that Pat made.  I may get it finished tomorrow before I leave town again.  I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Nice work as always ladies!  Hope you like the way they turned out! Richla
