Hi everyone! I don't know about you, but we are entering my favorite time of year: October - December. And Autumn is probably my favorite. I am working on a very detailed applique quilt by Verna of The Vintage Spool. I have worked on it off and on all year long and it probably won't be finished before the end of October - and certainly won't be quilted by then, so I decided to make this super simple Halloween quilt that I found in the book Simple Choices. I used 2 layers of wool batting because I really, really like puffy quilts. I quilted large pumpkins and loops in the 3 sections of crazy blocks and then did loops/swirls and squiggly lines around all of the applique. You will never believe it, but I used a bright lime green thread on the back and the flannel just absorbed the color. Crazy! I still have to sew on the jumbo rick rack and add the binding and hanging sleeve. I guess I'll have to do that next week. Have a great weekend! Richla
