Little treasures...

Good evening everyone!  Hope you had a great day!  It ended up being a crazy day for me, so I only got 2 quilts finished.  The first one is a gem of a quilt that Lisa made.  Lisa is a super piecer.  All of those little pieces inside those stars.  Crazy!  This is going to be a wall hanging so I decided I wanted to try and make those star blocks pop up off the quilt.  I ended up just top stitching them and letting the pieceing speak for itself.  If you see it in person, you understand what I was trying to do.   I used the sweetest bows in the outer border, feathers, hearts and a rose in the middle.  Lots of stitch in the ditch around that teeny tiny red border.  2 layers of cotton batting and neutral thread.  Lisa - I can't say enough about your piecing.... super job.

The second one is by Diane.  Diane and Lisa are two of the luckiest people I know because they both work at Keepsake Cottage in Bothell.  On Diane's quilt we used a design allover called Shari with a light lime green thread and cotton batting.  I love the jelly bean flowers - they look so sweet with this quilt.  Diane is also an amazing piecer.  I guess it's fitting since they both work at a quilt shop.  Nice work ladies - hope you like the way they turned out.

I'm loading Mo's quilt in the morning and I have a super fun surprise that I'm going to quilt on it.  I can't wait to get it posted.  Until the next post.....
