Whooooo....

Good Morning everyone!  Hope you all had a great weekend!  I had a productive weekend- yeah!  I managed to finish up Mo's beautiful quilt and got some work done on my UFO's.  I finished up all the embroidery on my Happy Hauntings quilt but got to the borders and realized that they had not included enough fabric for the borders in my kit.  But, I did get my scalloped applique border all printed and cutout on freezer paper so I am ready to go when the fabric arrives.  I also started Country Garden by Barb Adams and Alma Allen.  I got all the shapes onto freezer paper, cut out and ironed onto the fabric.  Now, I just have to get it turned and start sewing.  And, finally, I got Generals Wives all organized so that I can start assembling it this week.  Almost done with that one.  It feels good to knock out a couple of these time consuming quilts.

Anyway, here is Mo's beautiful quilt.  I put a whole bunch of owls sitting on a wire on the top border of this quilt.  I think they just look adorable perched up there.  I used flowers in the second border and an allover in the middle called Goldilocks.  On the rest of the outer border, I used a complimentary design in the Goldilocks set.  Mo brought her own warm and natural batting and I used a golden brown thread and a cream thread in the middle.  Nice work Mo!  Hope you like the way it turned out.

I started a huge quilt by Carol this morning.  We shall see how far I get on it today.  Take care, Richla
