Good evening everyone! I got to volunteer at the Book Fair at my daughter's school today and it brought back alot of memories. My sister tells me that I missed out on my childhood because my nose was stuck in a book all the time! I could not believe out of all the books at the school (K-5) that there were no Nancy Drew books, Trixie Belden or Hardy Boys. Classics in my mind but they said those haven't been on the shelves for quite some time. Sad... I did see alot of really great books though. Trilogy's are real big right now.
Anyway, I finished up 2 quilts today. The first one is by Linda. Love the Hungry Caterpillar fabric! We used a design allover called Sticky buns with a white thread and Linda brought her own batting. The second one is by Kathy. Such beautiful applique! We used a design in the outer border called Celtic Weave and an allover in the middle called Seaweed with a straw colored thread and cotton batting.

Richla, Of course I love the Very Hungry Caterpillar quilt, I read it to my pre-k class in the spring when we do caterpillars and butterflies, but i couldn't believe when you mentioned Nancy Drew and the Hardy Boys books. I had to read as many as I could get my hands on!! Loved those books!! Sad to hear they are not on the shelves anymore!!
