Fig Tree Pears....

Good afternoon!  Hope you all enjoyed this glorious day in January!  Here is a beautiful quilt that my friend Carolyn made.  We did some custom work on this one.  I hatched all the pears, and hatched every one inch square around the perimeter of the quilt. Nice work Carolyn, piecing those.  They were perfect!

I encased the 4 center pears inside a diamond and did free motion swirls around the pears and in the leaves.  I used a layer of Dream Supreme cotton batting.  Dream cotton comes in 4 lofts:  Request, Select, Deluxe and Supreme.  Supreme is a nice thick layer of cotton batting - loved quilting with it.
