Thimbleberries

Good evening everyone!  We are getting closer to Memorial Day weekend and perhaps some more sunshine!  Here is a wondeful quilt that Kathy made.  I did some semi-custom work on this one.  We used a design called Tangled in the 5 outer borders with a golden brown thread.  In the middle, I used big point 2 point feathers in the 9 patch blocks and then as a contrast did some tiny stippling around the mittens.  I also stitched wavy  lines around the mittens and swirls in the stars.  Wool batting finishes it off.  Really nice work Kathy - you are an excellent piecer.  I am almost finished with your other one too.  Chat soon, Richla
