A Gem...

Good evening everyone!  I don't know if I have told you all this lately, but I sure do appreciate you and all of your wonderful quilts.  There are days when my little ones are tugging my shirt and getting in lots of fights, but I do love it when you come to pick up and drop off your quilts. I love to hear your stories and hear about the fabrics that inspired your quilts.  Thank you for letting me work on all of your treasures!

I finished Kathy's quilt today.  I started around 630 this morning and finished up just a little while ago.  A few breaks in between, of course.  There are lots of wonderful treasures on this quilt.  The back is solid black and shows the detail of the quilting a little bit better in the photographs.  There are feathers, hearts, several pairs of love birds and swirls all over.  The piecing done by Kathy is utterly amazing.  This quilt is quite large and just was a joy to quilt.  Nice work Kathy!  Hope you like the way it turned out!  Take care, Richla
