Natural light...

For those of you who have been to my sewing studio and seen all the windows in there, you will appreciate what I am about to write.  I just love it when the sun shines through my windows.  As much as I love my quilts, the natural light really helps me see all of my "kwilting" and how far I have grown as a "kwilter."  A ray came through my windows for a little bit today and you can see the "kwilting" really stand out on the flannel quilt below.

I got 3 done today -  not sure how because I had a tennis match at Bellevue club today.  Have you ever been there?  Gorgeous facility!  These 3 lovely quilts are by Barb.  Family is visiting her that have not been here for almost 10 years so she is giving them each a quilt when they arrive to snuggle up in.  We used wool batting on all 3 quilts.  On the first quilt we used a design allover called Tangled (one of my favorite fillers) with a golden brown thread.  On the second one, we used a design called Florence with white thread and on the last one we used a design called Holly Berries with a cashew colored thread.  What a great way to showcase a lovely piece of fabric!  Nice work Barb!  Hope you can get all the bindings on before your company arrives - you will be busy!

Dorena, yours is going on first thing in the morning!  Take care, Richla
