The Unexpected...

Good evening!  Hope you all are enjoying the gully washer we are getting!  I somehow managed to finish up a quilt made by Jenny this past Sunday and loaded a king size custom wedding ring quilt today.  On Jenny's quilt we used a design allover called Butterflies, Loops and Swirls with a golden brown thread and cotton batting.  Doesn't it look nice?!

The double wedding ring quilt is made by Jackie and I believe it is the first quilt she has ever made.  I have been quilting for almost 7 years and there is no way I am ready to tackle one of these!  Jackie is a brave woman!  Did I mention it was king size?  What is so unexpected though is that the backing fabric is an army green camo and the top is all the same color scheme.  Evidently the bride is the outdoorsy type!  We are going very simple - lots of continuous curve on this quilt and leaves are in the center of the rings.  I got it loaded and managed to get one row done today. There are 8 rows total.  Not sure how long this one is going to take me and I am off Thursday - Sunday.  Keep your fingers crossed - I may have a couple of really late nights ahead of me.....
