Slow going...

Good evening everyone!  I am embarrassed to say that I didn't get any "kwilting" done last Thursday or Friday and only managed to get 2 shams done today.  I made a new rule this year: No "kwilting" after 5pm or on weekends AND to start working out and playing tennis 5-6 days/week.  That combined with all my appointments, volunteer work and errands hasn't left much time for "kwilting".  Argh!  My apologies!  I'll get my schedule figured out soon - I'm trying!

Anyway, here are Mary's two shams.  There is alot of quilting here but hard to appreciate with the fabrics.  We used a design in the outer borders and in the middle called Celtic Vines and Eve's leaf is in the orange border.  Hopefully I'll be able to finish up the king size quilt by end of day Wednesday.  Wool batting and a light orange and variegated thread.  I can't wait to see these all finished and on Mary's bed - I bet they will look fabulous!

On another note, I have decided to move forward with the addition to the lower level of our home.  The HOA turned down my request to build a studio on our property, so this will be the next best thing.  I'm excited to see what the architect comes up with over the next few weeks.  I'm not sure yet if I am going to add a second machine or perhaps host sewing classes or inventory extra wide or flannel fabrics.  We shall see what the future holds.  Have a great one - I'll post again soon!
