Good afternoon everyone! Hope your weekend is going great! The "wind tunnel" left our kitchen on Saturday - thank goodness. The floors are faded and still buckled from the water damage - but at least the water is gone. Now we just need to see what the adjuster says and how long we will have to be out of our home to get the floors refinished. Could be a huge mess!
I did manage to finish up Gigi's cute quilt last week along with Mary Lee's quilt on Friday. I think they both look so nice. On Gigi's quilt we used a design in the outer border called Wild Mouse Border with a design allover in the middle called Splat. As I noted in my earlier post, I stitched down the prairie points and you see they are a little bit flatter than they were before. Wool batting and a straw colored thread finishes it off.
The second quilt is by Mary Lee. We used a design allover called Seaweed (such a great filler) with a neutral thread and wool batting. Nice work ladies! I also finished piecing another cute weekend project with some fabric I bought from a girlfriend's garage sale a few years back. Now I just have to hang it in the cue to get "kwilted!" Have a great week - Debra's quilt is going on next!
