Applique

Good evening everyone!  Take a look at these 2 beautiful applique quilts by Marie.  The first one is reverse applique.  There is a layer of navy blue fabric with a layer of white fabric appliqued on top.  OMG!  And she did it all by hand!!!  She wanted simple, loose quilting allover so we used a design allover called Denali with white thread and warm and white batting.   The second one is one of my favorites.  A beautiful Hawaiian quilt made for her brother.  We used a design in the outer borders called Waverly and Brocade allover in the middle.  Gray threads and cotton batting.

Finally, I finished up a beautiful quilt by Sally today.  It's HUGE!  We used a design allover called Eve with a chocolate brown thread and wool batting.  Nice work ladies!  Hope you like the way they turned out.  Take care, Richla
