Hi Everyone! Hope you all had a great day! The girls and I went to story time today at the Woodinville Library and read all about Giants. It is so fun to watch them listen so intently. We made it home and I managed to get 2 more quilts finished today. The first one is by Dorena. It is a beautiful Amish quilt. We used big flowers in the outer border, Eve's leaf is in the small border and allover in the middle is A Tisket A Tasket. Dorena chose a variegated thread and brought warm and natural batting. I did some swirls and outlining around the applique and put flowers in the cornerstone blocks.
The second one is by Mary. I love the batiks! We used a design in the outer border called Anne's leaves with an allover in the middle called Wild Mouse. There is flange on this quilt, so I stitched in the ditch all around it to help it lie flat. We used wool batting and variegated thread. Nice work ladies! Hope you like the way they turned out.
