Getting closer to Turkey day...

Good evening everyone!  Can you believe Thanksgiving is a week from today?  I have got to get busy!!!  I finished up a cute quilt today by Barb.  This is going to be a gift for a baby shower.  We used a design allover called Barnyard with a bright yellow thread and cotton batting.  It is hard to tell, but there are tractors, barns, cows, etc allover this quilt.  Super cute!  I also started a quilt by Debra.  It has presented certain challenges with the outer border being chenille.  A lesson learned - I can not quilt on chenille.  It gets stuck in the hopper.  I did manage to stitch in the ditch and that seems to be holding it in place.  I am slowly quilting pine cones and pine needles all over in the middle and it is looking really nice.  I'll get it finished tomorrow and get more pictures posted.

And finally, I got some new thread in.  It is called Glide and is supposed to be stronger and have fewer thread breaks.  What I love about it is the sheen on the thread and they also make some fun metallics and glow in the dark threads.  We shall see how it all works.  I can't wait to try them out!  Have a great evening!  Richla
