Keeping Busy...

Good evening everyone!  I have had a productive 3 days since my last post.  We leave for Whistler on Tuesday and I am almost ready to start packing.  It feels good not to be rushed or behind this holiday season.  I finished up a mammoth king size quilt on Friday made by Tamela.  We used a design allover called Batik with a plum colored thread and 2 layers of a silk blend batting.  OMG!  This quilt feels so luxurious.  The silk blend is so soft.  If you have not tried it before, you will need to ask me about it the next time you are over.

The next two are by Diane.  I used sticky buns on the first one and quilted argyle on the second one.  I love how they turned out.  Cotton batting and a neutral thread.  Nice work ladies!

I finished putting on the binding on my husband's Christmas quilt, got it wrapped and under the tree.  Phew!  I also got the scalloped border glued onto my Halloween quilt so all I have to do is stitch it down and then get it quilted.  And, I finished turning all of the applique pieces for a Barb Adams/Alma Allen quilt called Country Garden.  Now I can start piecing my backgrounds, glueing down the applique and stitching it down.  AND, if that was not enough, I started cutting out the applique shapes for an old Bunny Hill pattern called Vintage Christmas.  WooHoo!  See - I was productive!  Have a great evening - hopefully this incoming storm won't knock out our power - I am on a roll!
